Meet the Team

«SHIFT HAPPENS» is run by enthusiasts — alongside full-time jobs, family life, and with the support of many volunteers. It all started with one simple question: Why isn't there a car meet where the people matter just as much as the cars?

Philipp
Founder

Philipp is the founder of Shift Happens and the driving force behind bringing the community together. For him, it's not just about the cars, but the people behind them. His goal is to create a place where like-minded enthusiasts can connect, build new friendships, and share an unforgettable day celebrating their passion for cars.

Alvaro
Organisation

Alvaro keeps everything running behind the scenes. From food trucks and infrastructure to partners and everything that needs to work on-site, he makes sure all the moving parts come together to create an event that simply feels right.

Liv
Community

Liv is the bridge between Shift Happens and the community. She manages communication, brings ideas together, and ensures that every piece of content and every design stays true to the identity of Shift Happens.

Aris
Media

Aris is responsible for everything that makes Shift Happens visible to the outside world. From the website and newsletter to social media and content, he ensures that the atmosphere and spirit of Shift Happens come across just as authentically online as they do in person.

Helper

And then there’s you.

Shift Happens wouldn’t be what it is today without the countless volunteers behind it. The people who set everything up, coordinate, organise, support, and jump in wherever they’re needed on event day. You are a huge part of Shift Happens — and that’s exactly what makes this community so special.

The idea behind the name

A shift doesn't just happen in a gearbox. It happens in life.

That's why it's called «Shift Happens». It's the one day each year when the community comes together to connect, support one another, and share a passion that goes beyond the cars.

Connect

This is where you meet the people you otherwise only pass on the road. After that a wave is no longer a wave — it is a greeting to someone you know.

Stay in touch

The community does not stop when the event ends. It carries on — on drives, in workshops, in conversations at the petrol station.

Be there for each other

And when a shift happens in life that is not a good one, that is exactly what makes the difference: you are not standing there alone.
